PRINCE2 for Girls!

Posted on February 27th, 2009 by by Elizabeth

It was at the BPUG Congress last year that I started talking to the training company Maven about their idea for a PRINCE2 course for women only.  Their team had been inspired by this blog and thought that an all-female training environment would make a unique and enriching learning opportunity.

At the BPUG Congress

I gave my presentation at the second annual Best Practice User Group International Congress today: PM 2.0 – new media and online networking for project managers.

Back from the brink

Posted on February 12th, 2008 by by Elizabeth

Andrew Ball, head of IT Performance Audit at the Audit Commission, was one of the speakers at last week’s BPUG Congress. He spoke during a session in the strategic project and programme management strand about how to cope when projects go wrong.
The main thrust of his argument was trying to avoid projects going wrong [...]

Olympic stakeholders

Posted on February 10th, 2008 by by Elizabeth

I was at the International Congress for Project, Programme and Risk Management last Wednesday and Thursday and listened to some really interesting speakers. Liz Underhill, Programme Manager for the London Olympics Programme, spoke early on the first day about the progress so far on planning for the Games. What struck me about her [...]
