Welcome to the August/September 2011 edition of carnival of project management.
There’s a new project management website in town, PMChat. It’s actually the ‘minutes’ of a weekly Twitter discussion. You can join the discussion on Twitter using the hash tag #pmchat or you can read the summary at the website after the event.
Patricia Lotich presents Why Do Organizational Change Efforts Often Fail? posted at The Thriving Small Business , saying, “Organizations reorganize internal structures and processes to better align with changing conditions and business demands or because of a crisis that affects the organization.”
Stuart Arthur presents The Challenges of Project Management posted at Box UK. This is an interesting discussion of the differences between Scrum and PRINCE2, although I dispute the idea that a PRINCE2 approach can’t be at least a bit Agile.
CA presents No such thing as multitasking posted at Project Management The Kanban Way, saying, “There is no such thing as multitasking. Humans are incapable at multitasking. We only task switch. And so do computers. The difference is that computers can task switch at a much faster rate to create an illusion of multitasking.”
That concludes this edition. Submit your blog article to the next edition of carnival of project management using our carnival submission form. Past posts and future hosts can be found on our blog carnival index page.16/09/2011
