I have a feeling (although don't quote me on this) that women in IT tend to be more qualified, or qualified to a higher level. I think this might be a reaction to the perceived inequalities - we have to 'prove' something so we need extra qualifications to show that we are just as good. I'd thought that the opposite would've been true. Let's hope that the gender imbalance can be rectified - somehow. I'd say I have a good working knowledge of computers and enjoy using them in my free time, as well as in work. Website design, for example, is a hobby of mine.
