If you’ve been following my exploits on Twitter you’ll have seen that I’ve been working on a new look for this blog. It’s taken a while, so I hope you feel that it has been worth the effort.
New features include:
A contact page: in the past I have had feedback that I’m difficult to get hold of! So hopefully this will make it easier. However, if it just gives me a lot of spam I might have to rethink it.
New-look archives: I think these look brilliant and are great if you are just browsing.
Updated links: I have deleted links to those sites that haven’t been kept up to date and added some new ones. How could I have ever missed off Raven??
Better search: I hope I have made it easier to find what you are looking for, especially as there is now nearly three years of information for you to sift through. You can use the search form from the sidebar or the top menu, or browse through the categories and tags.
And for those of you who care about such things, I’m now on the latest release of WordPress and finally (did I say it was nearly three years?) I have a theme that can use widgets!
To celebrate the launch of my new look for summer I have a copy of Thank God it’s Monday!: How to Create a Workplace You and Your Customers Love by Roxanne Emmerich to give away.
If you liked Fish! then you’ll love Roxanne’s book, which is packed with tips to make Mondays better. Thank God it’s Monday! kicks off my Summer of Books event on 13 July, with an interview with Roxanne and the book review will be here shortly after. You might want to read the book review before you enter the giveaway, so the closing date is 31 July 2009. Test out the new contact form by sending me a message with the content: I love Mondays! If it’s your name out of the hat then I’ll contact you to ask for your postal address details.
There will be book reviews and other giveaways all through the summer, so come back soon for some more guidance on your summer holiday project management reading including:
- Making Things Happen: Mastering Project Management (Theory in Practice)
by Scott Berkun
- Why New Systems Fail: Theory and Practice Collide
by Phil Simon
- PM Crash Course: Premier Edition
by Rita Mulcahy
- Growing Software: Proven Strategies for Managing Software Engineers by Louis Testa
and others.
Of course, if you are looking for a pool-side book, mine will fit just perfectly in your hand luggage and you can get a copy of Project Management in the Real World here.

I like the upgrade! UI facelifts are difficult, and time consuming but are always worth it when well received, huh?
Excellent site, useful information thanks
