Yoghurt

by Elizabeth on 10/12/2008

It’s amazing that I can hold the latest status of a dozen projects in my head but I can’t remember if the yoghurt in the office fridge is mine.

I brought a yoghurt in each day last week and I thought I ate them.  But two days ago I found one, hidden at the back where I would have put it, exactly the same brand and with a use-by date in the right ballpark.  Today I decided that as it was still there it was most likely mine and I ate it.

This is what happens when you do repetitive tasks without thinking.  One day something gets in the way and you don’t do it, but because it’s become habit you don’t know if you have or not…

I use my handy-dandy yoghut checklist!

Seriously….this exact same thing happened to me 3 weeks ago….except I call it yogurt. Coincidence? I think not! It’s a sign that all project managers are losing our minds!

Or maybe a sign that PMs should switch to a non dairy based snack?

It’s not just yogurt, I’ve had a similar incident with a Cheese Savoury sandwich!
