I got impatient about why there was nothing coming up in my pot of runner beans. And I needed the flower pot for something else, so I figured if it wasn’t going to sprout then I’d reuse the soil and the pot for a begonia instead. I tipped it all out to fish out the bean and … no bean! Maybe something dug it up to eat it or maybe my Gardening Journal let me down. All those weeks of tending an empty pot.
This must be why I have a bad reputation for garden success.
