Ron Holohan contacted me recently to let me know about his project management podcast, the pm411.org podcast. I don’t know where the name has come from – although I’m sure Ron could tell us.
I downloaded a few episodes to listen to on the train at the weekend and added the details to the useful resources page which you can reach from the menu on the right. The current episode is about negotiation skills and given that I went on a course about this at the end of last year I’m sure it is about time I jogged my memory about some of the techniques I should be using! I always find that I have to constantly remind myself about things I’m not that good at – it takes a while for skills to become second nature. I actually found all my course materials while tidying up just yesterday, so this comes at a good time.
The episode was really interesting, so have a listen if one of your objectives this year is to work on your project management soft skills.

It’s the traditional number for Directory Enquiries in the US & Canada, so I guess it’s supposed to mean something there. A classic bit of parochial branding.
