Diary date: 27 November 2006

by Elizabeth on 17/08/2006

Now I thought that once a book was written and available that the author’s work was pretty much done. Not so, it seems. The book project appears to have a never-ending end date, despite the fact that the major deliverable will be out at the beginning of November.

I’m really pleased to have been asked to give a lecture and book signing about Project Management in the Real World at the British Computer Society’s London HQ on 27 November. It starts at 5.30 pm with mingling before a 6.15 pm start. I’ll be talking for around 45 minutes and then there’ll be a formal Q&A session (another 40mins). After that we break out for food and drinks, during which time I’ll sign your copy of my book! And even write you a little personal message if you ask nicely. Then it’s all packed up and off down the pub by 9.30 pm.

I doubt that this event makes me a literary superstar but it’s very exciting to be asked. Almost as exciting as seeing my book on Amazon for the first time. There’ll be more details about the event on the BCS website once I’ve worked out exactly what I’m going to say. Any preferences?
